Easy basic read on a most important topic

Easy basic read on a most important topic, December 22, 2011
This review is from: Why Church Matters: Discovering Your Place in the Family of God (Paperback)

Joshua Harris, author of Dug Down Deep,Why Church Matters is a relatively quick read, consisting of only seven chapters and a section for discussion questions. I thought it could have been a bit more detailed on the topic, as this seemed a very basic albeit accurate overview of why Christians need to be involved in their local congregation and understand why. He covers some very important requirements, like doctrinal accuracy and clarity, but didn’t explore the issues and obstacles in depth like I would have preferred.

I would have liked to see him elaborate more on the topic. In short that is my recommendation, explain how church is essential to discipleship and pastoral care of souls, in a way that is theologically accurate and easy to read.
